Many members of the Hip Hop community are celebrating the return of Bobby Shmurda. After serving seven years in prison for conspiracy and weapons charges, the self-proclaimed King of New York was freed on Tuesday.
Part of Bobby’s celebration included collecting new plaques from the Recording Industry Association of America. His breakout hit “Hot N####” earned 5x-Platinum recognition on the same day he was set free. The track peaked at #6 on the Hot 100 chart in 2014.

Shmurda’s “Bobby B####” single also picked up a new RIAA certification on the same day. The track is now Platinum. In addition, 2014’s Shmurda She Wrote EP reached Gold status on February 23 as well. “Hot N####” and “Bobby B####” appear on the project.
Since his exit from state prison, Bobby Shmurda has been seen partying with friends and family members. Migos member Quavo posted a video of the 26-year-old arriving at an airport in a private jet. Shmurda’s name was a trending topic on social media for hours yesterday.
